It constitutes the current entrance to the city and immediately shows itself in all its grandeur. It was built in 1723 by Prince Scipione Publicola of Santacroce. A few meters on the right there is Palace Santacroce. Also on the right side you can see a plaque to commemorate the passage of Giuseppe Garibaldi on the 12th July 1849.
